Families that are still paying past-due amounts on heating bills can breathe a sigh of relief. The Snohomish County Energy Assistance Program can help with funding for low to moderate-income families.
“If your household still has a heat bill left over from last winter, now is the time to apply for assistance,” said Snohomish County Executive Aaron Reardon.
Grants can range from $25 to $1000, with the average grant being around $400.
Those who think they might be eligible can apply at the program offices in the lower level of the Robert Drewel Administration Building at 3000 Rockefeller Ave., in Everett. Program information can be found by calling 425-388-3880 between 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Appointments can be made, without an appointment assistance is first come first served.
