In celebration of National Domestic Violence month, Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County (formerly the Center for Battered Women) will be hosting its 4^th annual Hope Within Luncheon, Wednesday, September 30^th.  Doors open at 11:30am with program from noon until 1:30pm, at the Everett Events Center.  This year Domestic Violence Services welcomes guest speaker Denise Brown (sister of Nicole Brown Simpson). Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County (DVS) is dedicated to ending domestic abuse in Snohomish County by providing a wide range of services to victims and by facilitating social change.  DVS offer assistance in numerous ways: a 24 hour hotline that answers over 5,800 calls each year, emergency shelter to more than 300 women and children, transitional housing for 20 families, support groups for more than 1300, legal advocacy to more than 3,200, and a children’s program which serves over 400 children.
