Registered Sex Offender Public Notification Meeting

The Marysville Police Department will be holding a public notification meeting to release information regarding a Level III Sex Offender residing within the city limits of Marysville.  Richard Arthur Kirkham has registered as a sex offender with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, and will be residing in the 15400 block of 51st Avenue NE., Marysville.  Kirkham is a 32 year old white male who is approximately 5-10 and 175 pounds.  He has brown hair and hazel colored eyes.

 

The public meeting will be held Thursday, November 17, 2009 beginning at 7:00 p.m., and will be held on the second floor of the Marysville Public Safety Building located at 1635 Grove St., in the Police Training Room.

According to official documents, Kirkham was found guilty by Jury verdict in 2006 for the following crimes: Assault 3rd Degree-Domestic Violence, Assault 2nd Degree-Domestic Violence, Rape 3rd Degree-Domestic Violence, Malicious Mischief 2nd Degree, Assault 3rd Degree, Tampering with a Witness-Domestic Violence, Attempted Escape 3rd Degree and Violation of a Domestic Violence Protection Order.  His convictions were the result of a violent assault on his then 21 year old girlfriend over a period of over 7 hours.

 

Kirkham has served the sentence imposed on him by the courts and is not currently wanted by the police.  He is currently under supervision with the Department of Corrections-Marysville Office.

 

This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather, it is our belief that an informed public is a safer public.  Level III Sex Offenders are those offenders whose risk assessments indicate a High risk of re-offense within the community at large.

The Marysville Police Department will be holding a public notification meeting to release information regarding a Level II Sex Offender residing within the city limits of Marysville.  Elijah James Thompson has registered as a sex offender with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, and will be residing in the 15400 block of 51st Street NE., Marysville.  Thompson is a 77 year old white male who is approximately 5-03 and 200 pounds.  He is balding with gray hair and hazel colored eyes.

The public meeting will be held Thursday, November 17, 2009 beginning at 7:00 p.m., and will be held on the second floor of the Marysville Public Safety Building located at 1635 Grove St., in the Police Training Room.

According to official documents, Thompson pled guilty in Kitsap County Superior Court in 2001 to one count of Statutory Rape in the Second Degree, and two counts of Child Molestation in the First Degree.  These convictions were the result of Thompson sexually assaulting both known and related female victims ages of 3 to 18.  Some of the sexual assaults continued over a period of at least fifteen years.

Thompson has served the sentence imposed on him by the courts and is not currently wanted by the police.  He is currently under supervision with the Department of Corrections-Marysville Office.
