Clearview, Wash. - At 4:09 a.m., Snohomish County Fire District 7 was dispatched to a home on fire in the 20300 block of 43rd Ave SE just north of Bothell (unincorporated Snohomish County). Crews arrived to find flames coming from the roof of the double-wide mobile home. Crews fought the fire defensively due to the involvement of the structure.

One person was home when the fire started and they escaped uninjured. A family pet is unaccounted for. Four people have been displaced by the fire.
The Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s Office determined the fire originated above the ceiling near a flue pipe used with the home’s wood stove. Estimated loss of contents and structure is $50,000.

Overall, 20 fire personnel responded including two units from Snohomish County Fire District 26.

Fire District 7 would like to remind residents to make sure they have working smoke alarms in each bedroom, outside each separate sleeping area, and on every level of the home, including the basement. Change smoke alarm batteries every six months and test alarms monthly. Make sure your family has a home escape plan and practice your plan at least twice per year.
