Sheriff’s Office collision detectives are investigating a serious car crash that happened earlier this morning in the 4400 block of Robe Menzel Road.
The 1995 Mitsubishi GT was headed north on Robe Menzel Road at a very high rate of speed. The driver lost control of the car and hit a pole and then a tree. The impact of hitting the tree caused the car to catch fire. The crash was reported shortly after 2:30 a.m.

There were four passengers in the car – two teenage girls and two teenage boys from the Lake Stevens and Edmonds areas. All four were taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
In addition to speed, detectives are looking into whether alcohol was a factor in this bad crash. No arrests have been made yet. The crash remains under investigation.
