OLYMPIA — Junior High and High school students are invited to share their thoughts about education and beyond with Sen. Rosemary McAuliffe, D-Bothell at her annual 1st District Youth Forum. The Forum comes as McAuliffe and other lawmakers are preparing for the 2011 legislative session amid a sobering outlook regarding the state’s budget. Topics for the Forum include but are not limited to Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education/jobs, the economy, technology, online learning and school safety.
“The economy continues to challenge our world and community,” McAuliffe said. “It’s important the conversation is extended to our youth. Their education and job environment is rapidly changing. I look forward to hearing what they propose as solutions and sharing an update on work being done in Olympia.”
