South Snohomish County Emergency Cold Weather Shelter Open Dec 29, 30 & 31
 
South Snohomish Emergency Cold Weather Shelter will be open Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday Dec 29-31, 2010.  Individuals seeking shelter must check in at 6:45 PM each night at Lynnwood City Hall (19100 44th Ave West, Lynnwood, WA 98046).  City Hall is located in the building next to the Lynnwood Public Library.
 
Transportation to the shelter site, dinner and breakfast will be provided each night.  Shelter guests will be transported back to City Hall each morning at 7:00 AM.

Salvation Army Cold Weather Shelter Will Open Wednesday & Thursday Nights Serving Everett and Central Snohomish County

Due to the extreme conditions forecast for Wednesday (12/29) and Thursday (12/30) nights, the Salvation Army will open an Emergency Cold Weather Shelter at 2525 Rucker Avenue, Everett WA  98201.  Opened only during life-threatening cold weather conditions, the Salvation Army Emergency Cold Weather Shelter supplements the very limited emergency shelter capacity provided year-round in our community by the Salvation Army and other partner agencies.
 
The Emergency Cold Weather Shelter will be open to receive guests from
8 pm to 10 pm on these nights.  (Public Safety Agencies can drop-off persons needing shelter throughout the night.)  The Cold Weather Shelter will close at 7 AM each morning.
 
A decision to open the Emergency Cold Weather Shelter on subsequent days will be made after the noon weather forecast each day.
