Snohomish County announces an opportunity to review and comment on the Draft 2011 Action Plan for housing and community development programs for the Snohomish County Urban County Consortium.
 
This plan is required for receipt of approximately $5.5 million in federal funds annually under the CDBG, HOME, and ESG programs.  The funds may be used for various affordable housing and community development (public facility, infrastructure, public service and economic development) activities that primarily benefit low- and moderate-income persons and areas as well as grant administrative costs.
 
            The attached notices provide summary information on the draft plan, the proposed projects and activities selected for funding for the upcoming 2011 program year, and opportunities to comment.  The full text of the draft plan may be accessed electronically on our website at:

            Hard copies of this document may be accessed at various locations listed in the attached notice.
 
Written comments will be accepted through 5 p.m. on April 27, 2011.  This deadline was extended from April 5, 2011 to April 27, 2011.
 
A public hearing will also be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2011, to provide information, receive public comments and views on these draft documents, and to respond to proposals and questions.  Both oral and written comments will be accepted at the hearing.  This hearing was re-scheduled from April 5, 2011, to April 13, 2011.
 
Public comments received during this review period will be considered prior to adoption of the final plans by the Snohomish County Council.
