TACOMA, Wash. - Women are dying of heart disease at the rate of one per minute in the United States, because many don't know the risks and take appropriate actions. Addie Graham-Kramer with the American Heart Association
says they have developed a program called "Go Red-Better U" to help women live healthier lives.
"It's a 12-week program, which is absolutely free. We provide online nutrition, fitness tips. Really it's a program designed to make over your heart."
One of the best ways to improve your health is to eat right, and Graham-Kramer says the "Go Red-Better U" program provides easy recipes.
"You know, we are all busy and we are trying to get good meals on the table every night, but some of these meals you can make in as little as 20 minutes. So, it's really finding those fun tips out on the website that we provide to you; we will e-mail them right to your inbox."
