Expect full closures of SR 522 in Monroe this week

Drivers on SR 522 in Monroe should plan to take an alternate route or allow for delays Tuesday through Thursday nights this week.
Weather permitting, crews will close both directions of SR 522 at the US 2 interchange from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for paving and drainage work Tuesday through Thursday, July 5-7. Drivers will be detoured around the closure using 164th Street SE, Fryelands Blvd and US 2.
This work is part of the $23 million SR 522/US 2 interchange – widening and safety project. Crews are building a new direct ramp from eastbound SR 522 to eastbound US 2: www.wsdot.wa.gov/Projects/SR522/US2Interchange.
