MONROE – Drivers on SR 522 in Monroe should plan to take an alternate route or allow for delays Monday through Thursday nights this week.
Weather permitting, crews will close both directions of SR 522 at the US 2 interchange from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for drainage and paving work Monday through Thursday, July 11-14. Drivers will be detoured around the closure using 164th Street SE, Fryelands Blvd and US 2.
This work is part of the $23 million SR 522/US 2 interchange – widening and safety project. Crews are building a new direct ramp from eastbound SR 522 to eastbound US 2: www.wsdot.wa.gov/Projects/SR522/US2Interchange.
