Snohomish County Public Works must excavate a deteriorating culvert under Robe Menzel Road, in the 8000 block, before it fails and puts the public at risk. Washington State Fish and Wildlife requires a significantly larger culvert than is currently in place.
 
Due to the depth of excavation, a full road closure to all through traffic will be needed for approximately five weeks beginning July 25. The closure will be in effect at the project site.
 
We understand that this will create a significant inconvenience for area residents. A closure is unavoidable, however, and we ask for your patience during construction.
