MONROE – Drivers on SR 522 in Monroe should plan to take an alternate route or allow for delays Thursday night, Aug. 4.
Crews will close both directions of SR 522 at the US 2 interchange at 10 p.m. and will reopen the highway by 5 a.m. Friday, Aug. 5. During the closure, crews will restripe and shift traffic. Drivers will be detoured around the closure using 164th Street SE, Fryelands Blvd and US 2.
This work is part of the $23 million SR 522/US 2 interchange – widening and safety project. Crews are building a new direct ramp from eastbound SR 522 to eastbound US 2: www.wsdot.wa.gov/Projects/SR522/US2Interchange.
