EVERETT – This Friday, November 4th at 9:45 AM, Rep. Mike Hope will joins NBA All-Starts Terrence Williams, Jamal Crawford, Nate Robinson and Brandon Roy on Q13 FOX News to talk about a plan to bring an NBA team back to WA State. Several professional athletes are in town for the Strike for Life charity bowling event benefiting the LifeLong AIDS Alliance and District 7 Coalition for Quality Education.
“It’s a privilege to join these NBA All-Stars to talk the importance of economic growth as well as quality education and AIDS awareness. Bringing an NBA team back to our region would add over 3400 jobs to our local economy while providing hundreds of millions of dollars in added revenue for the state,” said Rep. Hope.
The NBA Taskforce, spearheaded by Rep. Hope, has its next scheduled meeting for November 15th. Discussing possible locations/venues, private funding sources and economic impact is the primary objectives of this bi-partisan committee.
“Working alongside other commonsense leaders to discuss ways to add jobs and revenue to our struggling economy without raising taxes is an important part of my job. We have a responsibility to the voters of WA State to look at all reasonable solution to getting our economy working again,” said Rep. Hope.
The Strike for Life charity bowling event will take place at Lucky Strike in Bellevue, WA from 2-5PM on November 5th, 2011.
