Sno-Isle Libraries will launch major improvements to their website's home page on Monday, April 9. Until then, site visitors have a chance to preview the new design via a link at the top of the current homepage and are invited to provide feedback about the updated site.
The homepage changes are designed to make it easier for customers to find what they're looking for on the site, and aid exploration of all the library has to offer. Market surveys and user analytics show there is low awareness of research databases and other resources through the website. The new design will highlight these resources and should lead to greater use. Increasing the awareness and use of such resources makes better use of taxpayer funds.
The new design will be fully functional with Polaris, the online catalog which launched last spring.
The updated Sno-Isle logo is making its debut on the new website. The logo was re-designed in-house with assistance from out-of-house designers at an expense of less than $3,000.
The contemporary look of the website and logo reflects a warm, welcoming feeling that is consistent with Sno-Isle Libraries’ customer service and represents an inviting and relevant library experience.
