SNOHOMISH – Drivers on US 2 in Snohomish should plan to take an alternate route or allow extra time for their trips Wednesday and Thursday night, July 25 and 26.
Weather permitting, crews will close all lanes of westbound US 2 near Bickford Avenue from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, and Thursday, July 26, to place barrier and restripe the roadway. Crews will also close the westbound US 2 on-ramps from Bickford Avenue and SR 9 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Drivers will be detoured around the closure using SR 9 and 20th Street Southeast.
Drivers should also plan ahead for a full closure of eastbound US 2 between the trestle and Bickford Avenue just west of Snohomish from 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 6. During the closure, crews will remove and replace deteriorating culverts underneath the highway. Drivers will follow a signed detour using 20th Street Southeast and SR 9.
