Honoring military families this Fourth of July at Museum’s Star-Spangled Celebration
Imagine Children’s Museum will be honoring military families with free admission on Thursday, July 4, 2013. All military families will be offered free admission with presentation of active military ID card.
With so many bases in the surrounding area, military families have definitely impacted Puget Sound. Many of us realize the sacrifices military members they make every day, but often forget the sacrifices their families make while they’re away. The Museum is offering military families free admission to say “thank you” and to honor their bravery, strength, and sacrifice.
The Museum will be open on July 4th from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm for its annual Star-Spangled Celebration. Special art activities will be available in the Art Studio. Families can create their own funky Fourth of July hats, sparkly 3D stars, and red/white/blue mini-flags to wave or wear at their family’s evening festivities- whether a backyard BBQ, city parade or fireworks celebration in the evening.
Members will also be offered a special “members-only” time before the doors open to the public, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Imagine Children’s Museum is a non-profit organization that is committed to community involvement by offering children a place where they can playfully learn. Children, ages one through twelve, can experience more than twenty hands-on enriching exhibits that provide opportunities for children to discover, explore, create and imagine. Since opening its doors in 2004, Imagine Children’s Museum has been selected as the “Best Museum for Kids” in the Puget Sound region by Nickelodeon’s ParentsConnect.com for the past three years. King 5 Evening Magazine voters have chosen ICM as one of the top three “Most fun Places for Kids” in Western Washington and the place for “Best Children’s Entertainment.” The Museum is located on the corner of Wall and Hoyt Streets in downtown Everett.
