Unlawful Display of Weapon, 01/17/10, 8300 blk 10th Place Ne
An informational report was filed when officers were dispatched to a complaint of several unknown males walking around a residential neighborhood carrying guns. Upon arrival, officers located the males who were dressed in camouflage, hiding in the area. All four males were detained while the complaint was investigated. The guns were located and found to be air soft pistols. The guns were taken for safekeeping and the four males were released without further incident.

DUI, 01/18/10, 800 blk Frontage Road
A 29-year-old male was booked into jail for DUI. While on patrol, an officer observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign and continue through a busy intersection. The officer contacted the driver and immediately an odor of intoxicants emanating from the driver as he spoke. The male voluntarily agreed to submit to field sobriety tests to determine if he his ability to drive was impaired. The male was processed for DUI and transported to jail without further incident.

Theft 3/False Statement/Possession Drug Paraphernalia, 01/22/10, 9600 blk Market Place
A 26-year-old male and a 50-year-old male were booked into jail for making a false statement to an officer and theft charges, in addition to several arrest warrants. A 36-year-old female was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia. A security officer reported two males concealing unpaid merchandise in a tote and then exiting the store. The security officer provided a description of the suspect’s vehicle which officers located in the store parking lot. The suspects were detained and a search of their vehicle revealed the stolen merchandise and also drug paraphernalia. One male gave officer’s a false name. When his true identity was learned, it was found the male had several warrants for his arrest. The males were transported to jail and the stolen property was returned to the store. The female was cited for drug possession and released.

Warrant Arrest/Possession of Marijuana, 01/23/10, 22 blk 95th Drive Ne
A 20-year-old male was booked into jail on an arrest warrant, and also issued a criminal citation for possession of marijuana. While investigating another complaint, officers contacted the suspect. A computer check of his identification revealed a warrant for his arrest. The male voluntarily handed over marijuana and drug paraphernalia he had on his person. The items were seized as evidence. The male was transported to jail without further incident.
