Taking Motor Vehicle without Permission, 09/05/2010, 11600 34th Street NE

A 15-year-old male had criminal charges referred to the court for taking a motor vehicle without permission. Officers were dispatched to a vehicle theft complaint and upon arrival contacted the 35-year-old victim who reported that her son stole her car and then returned it. The suspect confessed to taking the vehicle because he was bored and wanted to prove to his friends that he could drive faster than them. A report was filed and forwarded to the court for prosecution.


 Domestic Violence (DV) Assault and Malicious Mischief 3°, 09/07/10, 400 blk 85th Drive SE

A 32-year-old male was arrested for domestic violence assault and malicious mischief. Officers were dispatched to a domestic violence call. Upon arrival, officers contacted a male who was sitting on the front steps of the house. The male reported that he was verbally arguing with his girlfriend when he picked up a laptop computer and threw it against the door. The argument continued to escalate when the suspect grabbed the victim by the throat and shoved her. The victim left the residence but then returned to provide a statement to officers. The suspect was placed under arrest and transported to jail without further incident.


Possession Illegal Substance/Warrant Service, 09/07/2010, Lundeen Parkway/99th Avenue NE
A 20-year-old male was arrested for possession of heroin and on a warrant for his arrest, and a 21-year-old male was arrested on a warrant. While on patrol, an officer observed a vehicle turn without signaling. The officer stopped the vehicle and contacted the driver. A computer check of his identification was conducted which revealed that the male had a warrant for his arrest. The male was placed into custody. A computer check of the passenger’s identification was conducted which revealed that the male had a warrant for his arrest. The officer instructed the male to step out of the vehicle, and as he moved his foot, the officer noticed a clear plastic baggie on the floor. The officer seized the plastic baggie as evidence and performed a field test which returned positive for black tar heroin. The male was placed into custody and during the search of his person drug paraphernalia was found in his pocket. Both males were transported to jail without further incident.

 
Disturbance/Warrant Service, 09/10/10, 8500 blk 9th Place NE
A 35-year-old female was arrested on a warrant. Officers were dispatched to a priority domestic violence call. Upon arrival, officers contacted the male who stated that he and his wife were having a verbal argument and that no physical assault had occurred. Officers contacted the female and a computer check of her identification revealed that she had an active felony arrest warrant for a case that occurred 17 years ago. The female was placed under arrest and transported to jail without further incident.
