Driving with License Suspended, 09/19/2010, 10100 blk Lundeen Parkway
A 28-year-old male was issued a criminal citation for driving with a suspended license. While on patrol, an officer observed a vehicle being driven by a male without a valid license. The officer stopped the car and contacted the driver. The male was placed under arrest and admitted to being a heroin addict. The male gave voluntary consent to the officer to allow him to search his vehicle. During the search of the male’s car, drug paraphernalia was found and seized. The male was issued a criminal citation and released to a licensed driver.

Residential Burglary, 09/20/10, 2200 blk 116th Avenue Ne
A burglary report was filed after a house was entered unlawfully and items were taken. Officers contacted a 23-year-old female witness who reported that she was taking care of the neighbor’s animals while the homeowners were out of town. The female went to let the animals out and noticed the front door had been kicked in. The female reported that it appeared as though someone had gone through the closets and items were scattered about. The scene was photographed and fingerprints were lifted from items the suspect may have touched. The homeowner was notified and a report was filed for additional investigation.

Warrant Service, 09/21/10, 7400 blk 10th Street Se
A 31-year-old male was arrested on several outstanding arrest warrants. Officers were dispatched to a reported domestic violence assault. Upon arrival, officers attempted to contact the occupants of the home but they refused to come out or respond. As officers were about to force entry into the residence, the occupants exited the house. Through investigation it was determined that no physical assault had occurred. A computer check of the male occupant’s identification revealed several warrants for his arrest. The male was placed under arrest and booked into jail without further incident.

Suspicious Circumstances, 09/23/2010, 800 blk Vernon Road
An incident report was filed after a female witness called 911 when an unknown male flashed a badge to her and identified himself as an officer. The male then left the area on a community transit bus. Officers stopped the bus and instructed the 57-year-old male to get off. The male complied and told officers where he got the badge from. Officers seized the badge which turned out to be a fake security badge. The male was advised of the criminal nature associated with his actions and released.
