The 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle has done it again with their performance of Leonard Bernstein’s lesser known hit “On the Town”.

This madcap musical was written and produced in 1944 which is obvious in the choreography and its importance in telling the story of three Navy men who have 24 hours in the Big Apple.

None of the men have been to New York City before and have grand plans for their day trip to this exciting town, but their plans change quickly when they get led to another adventure entirely.

The greatest part about this production was the timeless dancing, much of which was performed by Seattle’s Spectrum Dance Company.

The vocals of the cast were just an added bonus to the well-written and well-directed musical journey the performers take you on through a minute 24-hour period.

This is a “don’t miss” and if you see the play once you can return for a mere $20.
