There will be a benefit concert at LaHacienda Restaurant in Lake Stevens for Snohomish resident JR Combs. As a result of radiation and chemotherapy he received during a battle with cancer in 2005, JR needs 60 treatments in a hyperbaric chamber in order to prepare him for oral surgery. His medical insurance has denied coverage because they say the treatment is preventative but the disease that is being prevented is terminal. JR needs help.

In an effort to help, Western Washington musicians have organized a benefit concert for JR. There are 1-hour time slots available in a very nice big room at LaHacienda. Restaurant, 621 State Route 9 NE Lake Stevens. We have the room all day. Backline gear will be in place (PA, drums, 2 fender guitar amps, bass amp, monitors, and mic stands) so all that is required of the participants on the roster is to show up with instruments. This is not an open mic event so please reserve your spot.

We welcome any and all attendees, musicians or not. We will be auctioning off items donated for the cause between acts. You can contact us at 425-335-1963 or mphill1a@comcast.net for more information. The benefit will begin at 2pm on Sunday, May 23rd. Several acts will perform including BoomTown, Nowhere Near Nashville, SkyBridge, Autumn Electric, Strandyd, SecretProphet and more.

JR Combs is a very popular professional drummer. His personality, and his willingness to help people in Western Washington and beyond, set him apart from the average. He has participated in many benefit shows recently and is doing another one for breast cancer in Smokey Point this weekend. A worthy cause for a worthy individual in need. Thank you in advance for your help.
