Please join me and the Everett Chorale on April 3rd for the second concert of our 45th Season as we present “ISN’T IT ROMANTIC”.
Our program will feature two beautiful pieces by Franz Schubert, certainly one of the most renowned composers in Vienna during the Romantic Period of classical music. Four talented young vocal artists from the Seattle area will join the Chorale for Schubert’s “Magnificat in C” and “Mass in G” with accompaniment by local instrumentalists in the Choral Arts Orchestra. The second half of the program will feature a group of timeless love song arrangements including “Love Is A Many Splendored Thing”, “For Once In My Life” and “Deep Purple”. Assistant Director Steve Torrence will conduct a medley of songs from the Broadway musical “Camelot” to fill out a program that you are sure to enjoy.
For forty-five years the Everett Chorale, affiliated with the Everett Community College, has been an integral part of our community, providing an opportunity for local singers to perform for appreciative audiences near and far. We have outreach ensembles that take the gift of music to retirement and senior centers throughout Snohomish County, civic group activities and into the public schools. We have represented Snohomish County
close to home on the Argosy Christmas ships, at Benaroya Hall in Seattle, in New York City’s Carnegie Hall and as far away as Beijing, China in 2007 and Rome, Italy in 2010.
Now we ask your support as we continue our season with “ISN’T IT ROMANTIC” on Sunday, April 3rd at 3:00 PM in the Everett Performing Arts Center. Bring your friends and family and plan to enjoy an afternoon of romantic music!
Hope to see you there!
