Jackson kicked off his 2011 tour schedule by taking his show to Ontario, Canada for three sold-out
shows in February. When shows went on sale, over 15,000 tickets were sold in less than an hour. In
early March, he embarked on his first tour of Australia, playing a string of sold-out shows over the
course of two weeks in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Jackson’s 2011 tour schedule has also been
highlighted by a return to the Houston Livestock and Rodeo Show where he was inducted into the
Show’s Star Trail of Fame for playing to over one million fans at the Rodeo in his career – he’s only the
fifth entertainer in history to do so.
Alan Jackson is one of the most successful and respected singer-songwriters in music. He’s sold
nearly 60-million albums worldwide, topped the country singles charts 35 times, and scored more than
50 Top-10 hits. He’s a 17-time winner at the ACM Awards and a 16-time CMA Award recipient, a tally
that includes three CMA Entertainer of the Year honors. Jackson is also a two-time Grammy-honored
artist, whose songwriting has earned him the prestigious ASCAP Founders Award. A 2010 recipient of
a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, he’s known for music that celebrates the common man (“Where
