Naval Station Everett Changes Command

Everett, Wash.  - On June 2, Capt.  Michael Coury will relieve Capt. Thomas Mascolo as Commanding Officer of Naval Station Everett.  The official transition will take place in a Change of Command ceremony held on base at 10 a.m.

Capt. Coury was most recently assigned to the USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) Carrier Strike Group 3 as the Operations Officer. He is a 1985 United States Naval Academy Graduate and was awarded his Naval Flight Officer wings in December 1986. His first assignment with the Shadowhawks (VAQ 141) was as the Electronic Countermeasures Officer on EA-6B Prowlers aboard USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71). He is also a graduate of the Naval War College in Newport, RI and has completed numerous tours in the Arabian Gulf in support of Operation Desert Storm and Operation Southern Watch. He now resides in Lake Stevens with his wife Maureen.

Capt. Mascolo will be reporting to Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake in California as the range chief test pilot.
