LSPD looking for fraud victims
JOURNAL STAFF
The Lake Stevens Police Department has identified Eric Allen Lloyd as the suspect in a series of fraudulent solicitations in and around the Lake Stevens Community. Lloyd, 42, is an Oregon resident and is currently in the custody of the Marion County Jail in Salem, Ore. on similar charges from over five jurisdictions in Oregon as well as warrants from at least two other states.
Lloyd is believed to have solicited money from local businesses and residents by selling advertising in a fictitious community youth baseball program.
The Lake Stevens Police Department is reaching out to the community to help with identifying additional victims of Lloyd’s scam.
Law Enforcement believes that Lloyd has a partner who is still active in this area. The subject is described as being an adult male in his 50’s, Hispanic looking, about six feet tall with grey hair.
The man has used two names, Bill Lewis and Mike Phillips, and he has stated that he represents Lloyd’s printing company and has asked that checks be made out to Eric Lloyd.
If you have had any type of contact with Lloyd or the second subject described above, even if you did not give them any money, please contact Detective Jeff Lambier at 425-334-9537.
