Lake Stevens to be represented at world’s largest Mixed Martial Arts tournament

Father, son and friend will pack one big
punch in Disney World
BY CHUCK TUCK | JOURNAL REPORTER Micheal McEntire, Tim Moore and Jacob Moore are all headed to Orlando to compete in World’s largest Martial Arts tournament. The recent tournament was a qualifier for the upcoming World Expo festival and tournament to be held at Disney World in Orlando, Flor.
“We brought back two gold medals, silver, and a bronze from this international event,” Moore said.

His son Jacob added that it was an unforgettable experience.
“It was amazing, we got to stay down there in a hotel with our whole team,” he said.

Jacob took a bronze medal in classical fighting and his father received two gold medals and a silver medal in the new “Old Guy’s” division, as Moore put it.

Michael McEntire received a formal invitation from World Expo Tournament Director, Sensei Eugene Tibon to compete in his divisions at the World Expo this month.

According to Moore, the World Expo will be the largest martial arts tournament in the history of the world.

This three-day event, which begins on Oct. 24, will feature fifty-two fighting rings running simultaneously for three days and include over a thousand competitors and tens of thousands of spectators from many countries. The World Expo Tournament is sponsored by Disney, ESPN, and Cirque de Soleil but has been sanctioned as an amateur event with no cash prizes or sponsorships.
