Lights and Sirens

The police department responded to 471 incidents in the week of September 28, 2008 to October 04, 2008. The following is a brief summary of some of the more notable events:

Collision, 9/23/2008, SR 204/127th Ave NE
A collision report was taken when a vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign, crossing into the intersection towards crossing traffic. The 84-year-old driver struck another vehicle which resulted in the 84-year-old driver going to the hospital for possible neck injuries.

Possession of Drugs and Drug Paraphernalia, 09/29/08, SR 9/Lundeen Parkway
An 18-year-old male was arrested for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. Officers placed the male under arrest for Driving While License Suspended 3. During a search of the vehicle the officer located marijuana, methamphetamine, ecstasy pills, hypodermic needles, baggies, and an electronic scale. The vehicle was impounded and the suspect was booked into Snohomish County Jail.

Disorderly Conduct, 10/01/2008, Grade Rd/SR 92
Officers were dispatched to a driving under the influence complaint. Officers contacted two adult males on a motorcycle. It was reported that the males had been gesturing and spitting at another vehicle. Both males denied behaving in this manner, but did say that there was a car that was following them too close. Upon further investigation the driver of the motorcycle did not have his motorcycle endorsement and the passenger was a suspended driver. The motorcycle was impounded and the two males were released from the scene and an informational report was taken.

Animal Control-Dog Bite, 10/02/2008, 11100 blk of 25th St NE
A 14-year-old male reported that a neighbor’s dog bit him. The dog was running loose and the juvenile male and his parents went to the neighbor’s house to let them know that their dog was out and that was when the dog bit the juvenile on the backside. The parents stated that they have never experienced this dog being aggressive before. The 14-year-old male was taken to the doctor and the dog was quarantined. The case was forwarded to animal control for further investigation.
