Benefit Concert for
Special Olympics in L.S.

JOURNAL STAFF Tickets for Benefit Concert for Special Olympics Washington at the Lake Stevens High School Performing Arts Center on Jan. 31, 2009 are now on sale for both shows at various outlets.

Tickets for the Benefit Concert for Special Olympics Washington, “Torch of Dreams”, are available at the following outlets: Jay’s Market (downtown), Haggen Food & Drug (Frontier Village), online at www.showcasemg.com and www.buyolympia.com or call 425-377-8702.
The “Torch of Dreams” shows are presented by The Lake Stevens Journal, Haggen Food & Drug, and the Lake Stevens Police Department. Many other local businesses are also involved in sponsoring this great event. The host for our shows will be our own Lake Stevens Police Chief, Randy Celori.

The show will feature Sterling Dietz, the winner of the coveted Lance Burton Award and current Reigning World Teen Champion of Magic. In July of 2009, Sterling will travel to Beijing China to represent the United States at F.I.S.M. (The Olympics of Magic). Siegfried & Roy, Las Vegas icons for decades, state “You are the future of magic.”

Special guests will be Brothers from Different Mothers. The Brothers, a comedy juggling team, recently performed and received rave reviews on NBC’s hit television show “America’s Got Talent”. Piers Morgan, of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent”, raves “You’re young, hip, funny and well choreographed. You’re the total package!”

Also performing is Ivanca Olanu, winner of the 2008 Aquafest Idol teen competition and the Lake Stevens High School Dance Team, which is being choreographed into a couple of Sterling’s grand illusions.
