Storm meet Olympic champ

Storm Aquatics, the local Lake Stevens swim club, sent 10 swimmers to two regional championship meets in Federal Way.
The Pacific Northwest Swimming (PNS) 2008 14 and Under Short Course Championships was held Dec. 12 through Dec. 14, and the PNS 2008 Washington State Senior Short Course Championships was held Dec. 18 through Dec. 21.

Olympic Champion Ryan Lochte made an appearance at the 14 and Under Champs (pictured above with Storm swimmers Jeffrey Lozensky and Grant Reimers).

Ryan Lochte won two Gold Medals at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China, one in the 200 meter Backstroke and one in the 4 x 200 meter Freestyle Relay. He also earned Bronze Medals in the 200 meter and 400 meter Individual Medleys.

Many Storm swimmers got to meet Lochte and get his autograph during the meet.
