Free college tuition

Who could turn down a call like that! Free tuition is actually available to many students. All students who sign up now are guaranteed college tuition at the time of their high school graduation.

Who is eligible: Current 7th, 8th and 9th grade students, whose families are eligible for free or reduced price lunches at school, and who maintain a high school GPA of at least 2.0 (That’s a C).

What you get if you qualify: Free tuition at any one of 22 Washington colleges and universities, 35 Washington community and technical colleges, 11 Washington private career colleges. Plus $500 for books annually.

When to sign up: Students and Parents can sign up for the College Bound Scholarship program on Thursday, June 4, 5:30 p.m. at Cavelero Mid High.

Students and their parents will enjoy a pizza dinner, and learn more about the many different programs in Washington State where these scholarships can be used. There’s even musical entertainment, raffle drawings (ipod, camera, Mariner’s Tickets and more!) and childcare.
