The holiday season is upon us, and underprivileged children in Lake Stevens need your help once again.
In the spirit of community service, Lake Stevens Firefighters will host their sixth annual Tips for Firefighters on Saturday, Dec. 5 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Ixtapa Restaurant in Lake Stevens.

“As I sat down for Thanksgiving dinner at the fire station with my second family of fellow firefighters, I silently gave thanks for my family at home, at the station, for my friends, our troops overseas and the great community in which I serve,” Firefighter Pat Cook said. “For the past five years on Christmas morning, I would wake up early, have a cup of coffee, look out the window and smile knowing that the community of Lake Stevens, through their generosity provided a wonderful Christmas for children who needed it the most.”

This year, one out of every ten Americans are unemployed and an estimated fourteen to sixteen million children will wake up hungry or go to bed hungry every day. This year as a community, we are needed more than ever.
Please join the Lake Stevens Firefighters once again on Saturday at Ixtapa in the spirit of celebration and giving.
Together, we will provide a memorable Christmas for the most vulnerable children in Lake Stevens.

If you are unable to attend, please consider delivering a donation to any Lake Stevens Fire station.  Checks can be made out to Local 3235.
