Twenty-three teams from the Western Conference and the South Puget Sound League North Division competed in the Region 1 Wrestling Championships last weekend.Jacob Anderson; 135 lb.

The competition included eight of Washington’s top ranked wrestlers in the 14 weight divisions and three of the State’s top 4A teams; Lake Stevens, Tahoma and Auburn.
The top five finishers in each weight division qualified for the Mat Classic State Championships which will be held in the Tacoma Dome this weekend.
Sixth place finishers are state alternates.
Lake Stevens had seven state qualifiers; three were regional champions and two alternates.
