On Monday, March 8 at approximately 12:30 p.m. a car and dump truck collided on Highway 9 between Lundeen Parkway and Highway 204.
The driver of the car, a woman thought to be in her 20’s was driving northbound on Highway 9 when she crossed over the center line, pulling in front of the dump truck which was heading south.
The driver of the dump truck also had a trailer on the back.
The car drove under the truck forcing the dump truck to drive over the top of her vehicle. The trucks wheels were dislocated from the truck, ending up on the side of the road in the northbound lane.
The women was extracted from her vehicle and taken to the hospital with possible life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the dump truck was uninjured. Traffic was backed up for hours throughout the Frontier Village area.
