The Lake Stevens Rowing Club will be hosting a national rowing regatta this weekend in Lake Stevens. This is an exciting event that will bring hundreds of rowers and their families to our beautiful town bringing with them tourism dollars that will be spent at local businesses.
The City of Lake Stevens wants to make sure that all residents are aware of road closures before and during the regatta.
To ensure that citizens will be able to maneuver around these closures please allow for a little extra time when traveling through the downtown Lake Stevens area.
Main Street will be closed from Thursday, June 24 at 3 p.m. through Sunday, June 27 at 8 p.m. Main Street from the southern edge of 17th Street NE to the northern edge of E. Lakeshore Drive will be closed from the dates and times listed above for the purpose of storing shells. Access to the Boys and Girls Club from E. Lake Shore Drive will remain open to traffic.
Resident access to the Colonial Apartments will be opened at all times as will access to the fire hydrant located on the northeast side of Main Street just south of the entrance to the Colonial Apartments.
Northlake Shore Drive will be closed from Friday, June 25 through Sunday, June 27 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The eastbound lane closure on Northlake Shore Drive from Mitchell Drive to 123rd Avenue NE will be open for spectator viewing. The road will be re-opened to traffic every evening no later than 6 p.m. or whenever the last rowing event for that day concludes.
The boat launch at North Cove will be closed to the public from Friday, June 25 at 6 a.m. through Sunday, June 27 at 7 p.m.
