There are many individuals that we have known that we honor and remember for the contributions and legacies they have left behind in Lake Stevens.
Familiar names such as Whitsell, Morgan, Clough, Cease, Parish, VanDyke, Blake and countless others come to mind.
When Cindy Tate lost her life on the lake on July 11, 2009 she inspired many of us to a deeper reflection of a life well lived and a life to be remembered.
To honor her and the others that have given so much to our community, there will be a special fundraising event in remembrance of Tate.
There will now be a perpetual scholarship fund in Tate’s name which will be administered by the Lake Stevens Education Foundation in her memory.
Tate was a wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, boss, community leader and mentor. She did so with such grace, poise and enthusiasm.
If you are unable to attend in person we will welcome any contribution that you choose to send and if you attend in person suggested donations to attend this special event are $50 or more per person.
For information and to participate in this special occasion to be held Oct. 17, 2010 please call or e-mail Kelli Lynn, event coordinator, for details at KelliLynnevents@gmail.com or 425-212-1919.
