Snohomish County Auto Theft Task Force recovered these stolen vehicles and made two arrests in Granite Falls.

On October 19, 2010, the Snohomish County Auto Theft Task Force (SNOCAT) served a search warrant in the 300 block of West Wallace Street in the City of Granite Falls.

This investigation was initiated when a Snohomish County Sheriff’s Deputy was investigating a domestic violence incident in the early morning hours on October 19 and while doing so observed two stripped vehicles at this location.
The deputy alertly wrote down the vehicle identification numbers of the vehicles and after leaving this location checked the VINs and determined that the vehicles were stolen.

The deputy called SNOCAT detectives who wrote a search warrant based on this information.
At approximately 1:30 p.m. on that same day, SNOCAT detectives, with the assistance of the Granite Falls Police Department, the Arlington Police Department, the Washington State Patrol and the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office served this search warrant.

When the warrant was served, detectives recovered two stolen vehicles that had been stripped and the hood from another stolen vehicle that had recently been recovered in the City of Lake Stevens.

The two recovered vehicles were a 1991 Acura and a 1997 Acura which were valued at approximately $10,000.
A 22-year-old woman from Granite Falls was arrested for Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle and a 23-year-old woman from Granite Falls was arrested on misdemeanor warrants.

The investigation is continuing. The condition of the vehicles found at this location are consistent with the condition of vehicles normally found in Chop Shops.
