The Lake Stevens Education Foundation is hosting their first “Calling for Kids Phone-a-thon” on Novmber 15 through November 18. The LSEF is reaching out to the community to assist in helping local children.
The money raised in past fundraising events has gone to $80,000 in classroom grants, help provide a book a month to nearly 1,000 local kids and awarded $14,500 in college scholarships last year alone.
Instead of the traditional auction, LSEF is hosting a phone-a-thon. Starting October 25 LSEF will begin reaching out to the community and spreading the word about their campaign.
Fliers will be distributed to elementary students and there will be a bulk mailer going to community members.
November 13 there will be a kick off at Haggen featuring the Lake Stevens High School drum line. November 15 through the 18 the phone-a-thon will take place and all Lake Stevens families will be called.
If you would like to donate before November 15 contact LSEF at 425-334-0691 or go to
