Grace Egelstad placed in the All American Girl Pageant.

Grace Egelstad, 10, competed in the Washington State All American Girl Pageant on April 15-17.  She came in first runner up in the Young Miss division competing with girls ages 10-13.

Egelstad also took home the title of Best Smile and Washington State All American Girl Young Miss Beauty.
The All American Girl program is a national youth development program for girls.

It is a natural pageant system in which young ladies compete in interviews, personal introduction, casual wear modeling and party wear.  Contestants learn how to present themselves in interviews, speak in front of an audience, and to carry themselves with poise and grace.  All important life skills that will prepare them for the future.

This was the fifth pageant in which Egalstad has competed.  Pageants have taught She the importance of good sportsmanship, poise, grace and community service.

She has been actively involved in community service since starting pageants in 2009 and has raised over $1,300 to date for the Relay for Life Lake Stevens.

She is looking forward to the Relay for Life walk in May where she will be walking with Team Aquafest, and can’t wait to walk during the “Grand Lap”.

Egelstad is the daughter of Christine and Greg Egelstad.
