The first Youth Fitness Expo will be held at the Edward D. Hansen Conference Center at Comcast Arena in Everett on Saturday, May 14 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
This first year Expo is a free interactive day introducing known, new, and out of the box ideas in fitness, sports, nutrition and overall health. It is designed for youth to walk away inspired to “Learn Today …Do Today”.
Interactive booths include: boxing, rock climbing, parkour, trampolines, dance, crew, lacrosse, physical therapy, martial arts, yoga, gymnastics, hockey and more.
This is a do-to-learn experience, not a read-to-learn event. Founder and Producer, Kelli Lynn, believes, “Kids are smart and if we give them the opportunity to feel and experience what fitness and good health can be for them as individuals, then we empower youth by creating an organic process that is all theirs with a great potential to become a lifestyle.”
The first 500 youth will receive a free sport pack sponsored by Seattle Children’s Everett Clinic, Molina Health Care, Absolute Air Park, and 213creative. The Expo will hold a drawing onsite for sports items, memberships, summer camp certificates, and event tickets; registration onsite required but need not be present to win.
“SeaWolves FC is always looking to participate in events that will promote health and fun for our youth and community,” Head Coach Alex Silva said. “I believe the Youth Fitness Expo will be a successful program this year and for years to come.”
