Jens-Kristian Hoult, of the Lake Stevens Boy Scout Troop 42, has earned the rank of Eagle Scout. His Eagle Court of Honor was held at Elim Lutheran Church.
The eagle project was building a path in the southeast corner of Elim Lutheran to connect the Lake Stevens City Park to the congregation and larger community.
In addition, the work crew landscaped the area next to the path, barked all the church’s flowerbeds and built a parking strip around the playground. This was all accomplished in two days with the help of 97 volunteers.
His entire patrol (Shawn Marti, Shaun Cooper, and Kraig Looney), all achieved the rank of eagle scout.
This is impressive because only four percent of boys that start scouts reach the rank of Eagle Scout. In addition they accomplished this during the 100th year celebration of Boy Scouting in America.
Hoult will be attending the University of Iowa in the fall and has plans to volunteer with Boy Scout troops in Iowa City, Iowa to give back to an organization that has been such a positive experience in his life.
