L: Don Floyd, the new Snohomish Valley Volleyball Club coach. Floyd has been coaching with Lake Volleyball Club the last two years. R: Megan Rice will be assisting Floyd in coaching the U-16 Volleyball team. Rice was a starting volleyball player for Snohomish High School.
Snohomish Valley Volleyball Club is expanding for their 2011/2012 season and will be adding a new U-16 team coached by Don Floyd and assisted by Megan Rice from Snohomish.
Floyd has been coaching with Lake Volleyball Club the last two years and took his U-14A National team to the top 10 in Power League where they finished ninth both in Power League and Regionals. He has two years of Gold Medal Squared training from the University of Washington, is impact certified and is finishing his CAP I Certification.
Rice graduated from Snohomish High School in 2011 where she was a starter for the high school volleyball team for three years.
In 2010 Snohomish was first in Wesco North and fifth in (4A) state. Rice was voted all Wesco North First Team and Team MVP her senior year. She also played for Washington Volleyball Academy (WVBA) for 3 years while playing in the USAV Junior Olympics placing fifth and ninth.
