International high school exchange students are coming to study in the Lake Stevens area during the 2011-12 school year.
STS Foundation, a non-profit student exchange organization, is proud to help facilitate these relationships.
Two of the students STS is looking for host families in the area for this year are Henri and Thea.
Henri is a 16-year old boy from a small village in Finland who has a passion for snowboarding. He has attended national competitions and has won amongst the top 10 best snowboarders in the junior category of slope style snowboarding. In addition to that, he also enjoys wakeboarding and playing bass guitar.
Thea is a 16-year-old girl from Norway who loves horses. She has a three-year-old horse that she describes as the kindest horse she has ever met. Thea also loves playing handball, which she has done for eight years and spending time with her family and friends. They are both excellent students and will have their own spending money and health insurance.
The host family provides a separate bed, family meals and a loving and safe environment.
If your family is interested in being a host family please call Lillian Clemente at 1-800-522-4678 or send an email to lillian@stsfoundation.org. For more information visit www.stsfoundation.org.
