The Rotary Club of Lake Stevens works closely with the Food Bank who identifies children in the community whose families cannot afford a new or slightly used bicycle.  This is the 10th year that the Club has sponsored the Bikes for Tykes program.
Funds are raised through the Rotary Club budget, local individual and business donations and donations from Rotary Club members. In the past, individuals have donated their like new bikes to the club for distribution to these families as well.
The bikes will be distributed on Saturday, Dec. 17 at Ebenezer Lutheran Church from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Club members agree and have stated, “shouldn’t every young child get a Bike for Christmas”?
