Many local radio stations use the holiday season to grant families in need a special wish for them and their families. Country radio station KMPS 94.1 was one of the stations who made Christmas dreams come true for many in Western Washington.
KMPS in association with Umpqua Bank sponsored "Wish Upon a Star" Christmas wishes and Lake Stevens’ own Jhade Tolman and her kids were given their wish on December 9.
Tolman is a single mother of three boys, each of them in need of a bed to sleep on.
Not only did the Tolmans receive beds for the boys but KMPS also gave Jhade a bed of her own.
The gifts didn’t stop there. Chuck Oxford of Lakeside Collision of Bellevue also gave the boys each their own bike.
On December 20 a caravan of cars and trucks from Umpqua Bank showed up at the Tolman’s house delivering bunk beds for the two younger boys Tyeson and Donavin, a twin bed for Stephan and a full bed for Jhade, complete with new comforters, bedding and pillows.
A special thanks to David Carroll and Christina Kain from Umpqua Bank and Chuck Oxford and Paul and Gary for their hard work setting all the beds up.
