Lake Stevens Fire recognized both Paramedic/Firefighter Norm Peterson and Captain Ray Kosiba at a recent recognition ceremony. Fire Chief Lingenfelter administered the Firefighter Oath for Paramedic/Firefighter Peterson and the Captain’s Oath of Commitment for Captain Kosiba. After the oaths were given, the Fire Commissioners presented these members with their official certificates.
Chief Lingenfelter commented, “It is important to recognize our department members as they take these important steps in their fire service careers. The Firefighter’s Oath reflects a commitment to service, respect for others, dedication to training, and a promise to hold in high regard the public’s faith and trust. The Captain’s Oath of Commitment pledges a commitment to our department Mission Statement and Values as well as promising to motivate and direct his respective crew to do the same.”
Paramedic/Firefighter Peterson completed his one year probation period January 3, 2012 and Captain Kosiba was promoted to Captain on January 1, 2008. Additional members will be recognized in the upcoming months at 10am on April 5 and May 3, during those regular scheduled Commissioner meetings. These ceremonies will take place in the upstairs lobby of the Administration Building located at 1825 South Lake Stevens Road, Lake Stevens.
Chairman Lorentzen commented, “It is great to be a part of an organization that recognizes these important milestones. As Commissioners we appreciate the dedication of our LSF team and consider it a privilege to serve our community.”
