Lake Stevens Fire and Lake Stevens Police are gearing up for the Annual Health & Safety Fair. This event has been scheduled for Saturday, June 9 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Albertson’s parking lot in Lake Stevens.
The goal of this event is for each booth to provide a different health or safety tip for life. It will be FREE admission for the public and there will be FREE raffles for the public to participate in as well.
Communications Director Laana Larson commented, “The Health & Safety Fair started out in 2006 with just Lake Stevens Fire and Lake Stevens Police represented. In 2009 we had 18 booths total, and this year we currently have 36 booths signed up to participate. It is great to see this event continue to grow each year and offer additional health and safety tips to our community!”
So far there are six items confirmed for the Health & Safety Fair Raffle including: Travel Safety Kits from Les Schwab, Bike Helmets from SafeKids, a 30-Minute Office Massage session from Stringer Chiropractic & Massage, Sun and Bug Protection from Avon, a Heart Healthy Cookbook from the American Heart Association, and a classroom event with Lake Stevens Fire & Lake Stevens Police.
Fire Chief Lingenfelter commented, “We appreciate our partnership with Lake Stevens Police as we work together to organize this event and educate our community in the areas of health and safety.”
