Host families are needed for exchange students from around the world.
Your home could welcome a student (you choose boy or girl) and they would attend the high school closest to your home for the 2012-2013 school year.
Hosting an exchange student often means you will find that you have added a wonderful new member to your family. All students are non-smokers, non-drinkers, have been screened, passed all background checks, have been personally recommended by their principals for their character and are on the top tier, academically, in their schools.
Students come with medical insurance, a monthly allowance, cell phone, laptop and a huge desire to experience our culture.
As one of this year’s students put it: “Being a student in the United States will be like I’m in an American movie.”
The host families are to provide the high school student with their own bed, meals and a place to study. Students arrive in August and fly home in July. They are eager to see and experience family life in the U.S, attend school and hopefully see some area attractions.
This unique and special opportunity is open to two-parent families, (young children or teenagers) single-parent families, retired and childless couples. The school year is enjoyed by children of all ages.
The non-profit foundation is A.F.I.C.E, (www.afice.org) Academic Foundation for International Cultural Exchange.
