Students from the Lake Stevens area have been named to the Dean’s List at the University of Washington for Autumn Quarter. To qualify for the Dean’s List, a student must have completed at least 12 graded credits and have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (out of 4).  John Jacob Benefiel, Kyle Ryan Boggie, Juliana Sophie Borges, Nicholas Jones Borges, Sarah Carpenter, Olivia Morgan Craggs, Nicole Cherie DePrey, Molly Kristen Donnelly, Jamie Lynn Ebner, Carlie Elizabeth Elledge, Ross Erickson, Kayla Marie Gaston, Tianzhu Ge, Katherine Marie Graham, Melissa Ellen Ho, Stephanie Nicole Hoffman, Ross Daniel Jones, Christopher Ernest Lian, Ysabella Annette Licciardi, Megan Logue, Carlos Lopez, Joshua Michael Monson, Alexa Marie Moriarty, Sacha Nabiha Nasr, Lindsey Ann Nelson, Oriss Fernandez Olvera, Joshua Dominic Rochon, Michael John Siedlik, Amanda Marie Staley, Nathan David Stout, Andrea Marie Vernon, David Wayne Whitlock, Levi Richard Williams, Alexandra Rachel Wirth.

Brittanie Thibodeaux of Lake Stevens was named on the University of Great Falls 2011 Fall Semester President’s Honor Roll and Dean’s List.

The following Lake Stevens students have earned their place on the Dean’s List at Eastern Washington University for Winter quarter 2012: Taylor Rogers, Elise Warrick and Shawn Wilson.

The following students graduated from Washington State University in Fall 2011: Kayla Ann Christensen, Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration; Ryan Matthew Reyes Kraut, Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration.

The following students made the Seattle Pacific University 2011 Autumn Quarter Dean’s List. Students on the Dean’s List have completed at least 12 credits and attained a 3.50 or higher grade point average: Jeffrey Andrew Jorgenson, Colin Scott Lewis, Ashley Paige Maddox, Whitney M Pahls, Nicole Marie Spitzer and Brittany Marie Tri.
A1C Steven Galioto graduated from Tech school as a Contracting Specialist. He is a 2009 graduate of Snohomish H.S., son of Andrew and Monika Galioto. He is stationed at Sheppard AFB in Texas.

Navy Seaman Recruit Steven A. Neighbors, son of Andrew S. Neighbors, of Lake Stevens, Wash., recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Neighbors is a 2011 graduate of Lake Stevens High School of Lake Stevens, Wash.

Army Reserve Pvt. Zachary J. Schmuck has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Schmuck is the son of Gary and Karen Schmuck of Cedar Road, Lake Stevens. He is a 2011 graduate of Lake Stevens High School.
The following students were recognized by the Lake Stevens School Board as outstanding secondary students at the March 14th School Board meeting. Lake Stevens High School February students of the month:  Jack Collins  – 10th grade, Alissa Schille – 10th grade, Keith Acfalle  – 11th grade, Brittney Pahukoa – 11th grade, Ben Foster – 12th grade, Nicole Carroll – 12th grade.

Cavelero Mid High School February students of the month:  Ghessica Agustin  – 8th grade, Matthew Owen  – 8th grade, Peyton Leduc  – 9th grade, Kolby Jones – 9th grade. Lake Stevens Middle School February students of the month:  Holly Haynes – 6th grade, Riley Koon – 6th grade, Abigail Welch – 7th grade, Kevin West – 7th grade.
North Lake Middle School February students of the month:  Collin Sullivan – 6th grade, Tracy Woart – 6th grade, Emily Haegeland – 7th grade, Max Elliott – 7th grade.

Nominated and selected by their peers, the following Lake Stevens School District Employees will be recognized for creating a positive, caring and productive school environment through exceptional effort, dedication or performance in their areas of responsibility.  April recipients of the APPLE AWARD are:  Kristin Odegaard, teacher at Glenwood Elementary; Josh Stults, mechanic at Lake Stevens School District transportation; Joie Ormsby, teacher at Cavelero Mid High; Lizli Carroll, paraeducator at Lake Stevens High School.
