Little girls in sparkly dresses and shiny shoes clung to dads and father-figures in suits and ties as they arrived at the sixth-annual Father/Daughter Dance at Lake Stevens High School on Jan. 12.
More than 750 people attended the event.
This year’s theme was “Snow Princess” and the cafeteria was transformed into a winter wonderland.
The dance is a fundraiser for the Valhalla—the school’s student newspaper.
Proceeds will pay for a newsstand for the high school, a June full-color issue of the Valhalla and attendance at the Washington Journalism Education Association’s summer camp in Ellensburg.
